SHOE FETISH........!

Some go ga-ga over bags while others have a soft corner for dresses. Its shoes, shoes and more shoes for me. I do buy new shoes quite often but i never ever shy away from experimenting with my old discarded ones. I strongly believe in recycling and renovating. Also its a great way to pass your time (if you have). well these days i have oodles of it....!

I had successfully done such an experiment some time back, with a pair of old ballerinas. originally silver in colour, i changed them into hot pink ones......!

The most recent experiment was made today.....! And i quite love the results, so just couldn't wait to share it...!

Cute aren't they....! I have used brown ribbons for the tie-ups. Glitterly ribbons for the making the flower (rose). Believe it or not, most of the time was spent in making the damn flower (rose). Not so sattisfied with the result, but nevermind.!

I m still discovering various ways to tie the tie-ups......! Can't wait to wear and flaunt it.

Do let me know, are they worth the effort.....??

OH BOY......!

There’s something about the rains...! I love when it’s raining and I am indoors..! It’s not like I don’t love getting drenched in the rains...GOD..!.. I DO. But yea if given a choice I would prefer to stay indoors...any day....!

I always crave a cup of coffee and a good book and an open window during the rains. Well, small pleasures in life. I love how a rainy day makes you lazy; wanting to stay in the bed snuggled up with the pillow. Watching movies back to back all day long! That’s exactly what I did today. I gave some serious pain to my eyes (and head) keeping them hooked on to my lappy...! I did some serious catching up on my stack of favourite (read: the ones I can watch again and again and again and AGAIN!!!) movies. The menu consisted of: freaky Friday (well not actually one of my favs), notebook (one of my favs), legally blonde (oh I love Reese Witherspoon), mean girls (well, I wanted to make sure Regina George = Alley Hamilton!). Okie, it’s not like I have stopped here...! I want to watch more movies...! Hmmm..! Maybe p.s I love you...! I seriously love the movie. The bond between the 3 girls reminds me of my own girlfriends.

When I first saw the movie, I was like “ohh I wish I had this bunch of great girls”, “who I could talk to, have fun with or simply irritate”. Haa. Now, I proudly boast that YO...! I am a part of a cool gang of girls...! Who fiercely love each other, protect each other, care for each other and most importantly make life hell for each other. Well, some time some days are not as great as others, differences are bound to occur as all of us are different from each others, different likes and dislikes. We sometimes argue like enemies, disagree like opposing lawyers and are ever ready to bite off each other’s head. But the one thing that sticks us like glue is the love and respect we have for each other...!

Love ya girlies’
You rock...!

You make my life so cool and interesting. The times spent with you are the most precious memories ever. When I say precious I mean it. All the fun and food and shopping and more shopping, some more food, little more fun, some more serious shopping, more food, disagreements, more fun, some bitchiness inbetween (in miniscule proportions.!), creations and innovations, then more shopping....... you see what I am trying to say here, it’s a vicious circle. Never ending.....!

The hakka noodles, pizzas , momo’s , chaats , cool blues and the goddamn rosemary veg submarine ( or the salaami one, for that matter..!) will never taste the same without you guys...! Also this is not some kind of farewell thingy, it’s just to tell you guys that I lovve you...! I may not try and show it always, I may be rude or sadde hue (as you put it), but deep inside I love you. So the next time when I don’t behave properly just remember that, no complains OKIE...! It’s coming from the heart.

Okie this is weird! When I read this whole thing I wrote I was totally blown. I mean I had thought of writing something else, then I go on writing about something totally different and then in the middle of it I totally switch again...! When I read the whole thing I was like “oh boy” (hence the title). And yea as I began by writing about the rains, I would like to add that I absolutely love how clear and green everything seems just after it has rained. The skies look bluer and everything else brighter even without the blinding sunshine.

So here I come in a full circle, ending where I started *wink*.

UN-CIVIC

Nope. The little boy is not related to me in any way. I met (actually saw) him in a public bus. It has been some 4 months since i saw him. Was just browsing through various folders when i came across this pic. Now i know, its very bad and un-civic of me to publish his pics ( also clicking his pic without his consent, well can't help that much, when he was totally in some other world :P :D).

I just couldn't help it. The little guy was just so cute and adorable (muah). Sitting right in fount of me with a million dollar expression of his face....!! I just had to take his pic.

don't ya guys agree.....?

i just love little kids. My friends have started calling me baccha chor after this incident...!!

DARKNESS.

Isolation sometimes for some people becomes a necessity. Just like some people crave for company, others crave isolation. Aloofness.

There is in fact nothing wrong with being alone. It’s good to spend some with “yourself”. Trying to know one’s self. I too am a sucker for it. I lovvve (it’s not a typo, it’s my way of showing intensity!) spending time all by myself. I love my company, I love going shopping with me...! Yea..! it’s True...!

But on the other hand it has serious and severe affects on the personality traits of a person. It can lead to a condition where you can experience a fear of meeting people. Excessive isolation can lead to depression and some other psychological traumas. It creates darkness in life.

What complicates the problem is the fact that such people are just a face in the crowd, therefore difficult to separate or let’s say isolate. They are so good at creating a facade. You can never ever guess that something is wrong with them. More than often these people are common at high profile and glamor jobs. Look at someone like a Viveka Babajii, she achieved all that a girl in the modeling world could aspire for. Yet she failed in striking a healthy relationship. After a series of heart breaks, she found an easy way out of it all. To blame an estranged relation for her taken decision according to me would be a tad too harsh. The foundation of it maybe was laid way earlier, during her peak days. Insecurity, lack of friends, broken trust............

Trust once broken is hard to rebuild. When a person’s trust is broken again and again, it becomes e hard to demarcate between friends and foes. Suddenly the world seems to be a cruel place. Full of pretentions and vicious circles. Fake promises, false smiles, so called friends....... the only easy way out of this mess then seems to be ________ .( don’t need to write it down)...!

Well, many a times it is said that people who commit suicide are cowards, don’t have the guts to face difficulties... blah blah blah......! But I think that it actually takes a lot of guts and courage to take such a step. To break ties and end everything drastically. To leave behind the dreams and aspirations. People who you loved and who loved you.....! Just imagine the amount of pressure /tension on such a person who overlooks all these factors and goes ahead with the decision. Statistics clearly indicate the huge number of suicide cases in India alone.

Friends, there are a lot of people out there who need help. Guidance. Someone to talk to. Such people don’t come with a tag, you have to recognize them. They can be one of us. Maybe one of our friends.

GAY DAY........

It’s been a year today since the gay law come into light. Naa, I wasn’t keeping tabs on the date. Just came to know after a pee-a-boo into the newspaper. I know different people feel differently about the whole ordeal. The issue has been (and still is...) a ranging topic of many a debates. Some agree, others strongly oppose to it. Well, ours being a democratic country.... everyone has full right to share their views and perspective.

Similarly people also should have the freedom to live their life the way they want to (and with who-so-ever they wish to). How depressing and suffocating it must be to live your life in a facade.... pretending to be someone who you totally are not...!! Not to mention being the object of ridicule and the butt of all the jokes. I never gave this entire hullabaloo much a though, but slowly with time (and books and movies) I realized that however hard we may deny, homosexuals are a part of our society. They like us have a full right to carve a niche for themselves in the world. Many a countries have already legalized the same sex marriages. What is good to hear, is the fact that in India too “they” can now breathe freely.......!

No identity crisis, no pretensions.

This of course would not have been possible by the immense support of all the supporters. The only name I remember is of Celina Jaitley (call me glamour stuck...!) and her constant bickering with our very own Baba Ramdev Ji (who was dead against the whole thing). The whole fight scene as far as I remember was quite funny (according to me, that is...!).

Sounds and feels immensely good that our country is on the path of urbanization or should I say humanisation :)

So people, LIVE AND LET LIVE.
Ciao
