EXAM PREP (:D)

Ha..! The pics do all the talking here. I need not say anything. But the one thing I want to clear is that, the pics here are not displayed to show off my artistic skills (which suck.... big time). I wanted to share with ya guys that HOW WELL I AM PREPARING FOR MY EXAMS. The moment I open my notebook I always spot something great about it. Like the other day I was practicing a diagram on my diary when I suddenly spotted some interesting stuff written on the starting pages of it. Like emergency first aid tips, great hotels in India (it had me planning a vacation...!), capitals of different states of India (I suck at it since my school days).

While studying my mind suddenly comes up with some really cool lines, which I immediately pen-down and then add-on to them. Totally forgetting about the thing I was studying. If nothing else, I still invent new hairstyles, new make-up tricks, and click random pics of me.my hair....!!In my exam time i develop this mysterious relation with my hair. I comb it at regular intervals, spot and immediately get rid of split-ends, fell seriously possessive of my hair esp. in exam time. And when I really feel I should be studying I start from the start. Reading the PREFACE of the book. Then get totally exhausted by the loaded words by the time I finish reading it. I then decide to take a break. A break that never ends. Somehow the best movies and great stuff is aired on TV only when you have no time for it....!!!

Well, I guess ENGINEERING aise he hoti hai....!! (atleast for me.....!!)

Life is OH-SO-STRANGE.

Have you ever done something which you always thought you were unable to do. Talked and then been friends with someone, who absolutely hated or hated someone who you were friends with. Taken decisions at the spur of the moment and discovered them to be a success. Made careful plans, taking lot of time just to encounter disappointment. I know your answer to atleast one of these will be a YES.......!

One of the most hurtful feelings is when you realise that a friend has backstabbed you. Someone you trusted, shared your thoughts and secrets with. And the most amazing fact is that inspite of doing all this that friend has the nerve to face you and behave as if all is fine. They don’t even get sick of pretending. Ridiculous.

Also, there’s a category of people who have taken themselves to be some sort of self proclaimed saints. Who know everything and act as if you have given them the sole right to run your life as per there commands. They are full of s*** but don’t shy away from telling you, who to talk to, who is good and who’s not so good...!! Take a break folks and analyse yourselves. Trust me, you ll be ashamed to meet yourselves. First go and cleanse yourself and then go about directing people to do the same.

Finally I want to throw light on the most cheapest and filthy minded people. The ones who raise both their eyebrows whenever they spot with you with a guy (or a member of the opposite sex). The sole motive of their life then becomes to go in depths of the details of your relationship with that person. For such people the relation between a girl and a boy is of two kinds only. Either they are romantically involved or they are brother sister. Now when such filthy minded people come together they successfully spread news like fire in the forest. Set the rumour mills ranging. When these rumours reach out to you, either you can laugh them off Or else they will ruin whatever relation you shared with the person.

We are surrounded by different kinds of people. We require great amount of courage and will-power to gauge them off. Living your life your way, with your conditions and rules is one hell of a task. At every step a slycutter will be waiting to throw you off-arm. Pulling you away from your goals, from people you want to be, from places you want to go. Life is no cake-walk...!!
I would like to end by saying.....
SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST (The theory will never get old)

GROSS...... (With capital G)

Well, illness of any sort is always disgusting, unpleasant and irritating (to sum-up in minimal adjectives....!!!). I recently suffered from this serious bout of stomach infection which left me totally drained of every ounce of energy I possessed! I hardly felt human during that period of never ending, everlasting fit of vomits and well emm well “you know what”.......!!!

Actually there is nothing special or extra-ordinary about this disease. Everyone has suffered/experienced it at one point or the other. But there is this very strange thing which happened to me during my illness. Wait NO. Before my illness. Or was it the other way round??? Just read-on and decide for yourself......

I was reading this book called A TREASURE WORTH SEEKING by SANDRA BROWN. I was perfectly fine, enjoying myself. The main protagonist in the story is called ERIN. Now ERIN in the story overeats and the junk food made her sick. Upset stomach, fever, light-headedness....... after reading a page or two giving the detailed description of her illness, I didn’t know why there was this sudden pain in my own tummy...!! Slowly but completely, mind you COMPLETELY her symptoms of disease kinda brushed on to me. Same illness, the same symptoms, the same feelings, same retching, same cramps, same fever, same concern about “how bad am I looking” ......!!!

My mind knows it’s nothing but a coincidence. But still it was so bloody close. If at any time I would have to explain my illness to someone, I would probably have used the same words as in the book. I even felt at some point of time that somehow I asked for the illness. Well, one thing that kept me going through my illness was that ERIN was soon well and rocking...!! so I knew ki I ll be well soon too.....!!

Now the only thing that’s on my mind since the day I completed the book is that, ummm is that ki.. ....that girl.. .....ERIN... became PREGNANT towards the end of the story..........!!
Haha...!

JAI MATA DI.........!!!!!!!!!!

Just back from a wondrous trip @ MATA VAISHNO DEVI. Needless to say it was enjoyable and fun (well, a little tiring as well :P). Anywhere you go with your friends the amount of fun and joy you experience just triples up...!! Same was the case in this trip of mine.....

Initially there was a big strong NO from my dad. He was against my going because he felt the weather wasn’t suitable and the fact that his delicate darling isn’t strong enough to withstand the hard journey. For those who don’t know, to reach the peak of the mountain, where the goddess resides, you have to walk 14 km steep road. Adding the 14 km of the return journey, the total distance to be covered on foot is 28 km.

We started our journey from the bus stand of Jammu. The 20 of us boarded a bus to Katra city. In the bus we had lot of fun and irritated the other passengers by our shouts and songs. I am sure the people there(including the driver and the conductor) will never forget the ear shattering shouts, hoots and whistles we all contributed in while passing from the TUNNEL. Once there, we went to an eatery for our snacks. There two groups were formed and a battle was started as to who will order the most appetizing food. My group ordered a pizza. The other group ordered Nan’s and some paneer dish. When the food arrived each group started mmmmm, aaahhh’s and yummmy’s...!! Our pizza was a disaster, the crust tasted like a biscuit. The trouble was that we had to eat the whole damn thing or else the other group would have taunted/tormented us to no end.....!!

After the yucky pizza and an ice-cream, we started off (kinda). Our speed was super slow... as after every one step, we would start taking photographs, marvel the beauty around, crack jokes at expense of each other...! Had pan’s. After reaching the place which marks the start of the journey, we started off.Full-on with zeal and vigor.

(the place shown in the pic marks the actual start of the journey)

We met a few dhol-wala’s, and the dancers inside us, jumped at the opportunity. We danced for almost half an hour. The journey-up the mountain takes round about 5 hours. But our journey started at about 9 PM and we reached up at 4 AM. Had to...!! Afterall our journey was interlaced with lot of fun. In between many a times, my legs gave up. Breath was coming slow, and I thought “I m gone”. But Mata ka jaikara every time gave me this sudden surge of energy...! The journey is such that when you reach a place, you realise that you have to walk four times the distance you just walked. Trust me; it’s not such a great feeling. But on the way, seeing the enthusiasm of the people you get the required motivation. On the way saw a few people who bowed after every step they took.... clear example of belief and faith.

After freshening up, we did the darshan and were free by 6:30. We went for breakfast after then, where most of us were overcome by the sleeping fit.....!! For the breast fast I as usual ordered the wrong thing. The pau-bhaji I ordered comprised mostly of ginger which I absolutely loath. So I had to eat just the dry pau’s...! Those in the deeper sleep fits, skipped the breakfast all together.

It is said that the darshan are not complete unless you visit the even higher situated BHAIRAV GHATI. It’s the most difficult part of the journey, the distance is short but the peak is the steepest. Also while coming down the steep slope blows the wind out of you...!! I decided to skip this part of the journey as I wasn’t sure whether or not I will be able to manage it and I did not want to be a burden on my friends. There were four of us who were not going to the bhairav ghati. So we separated from the group and began our journey downwards. A friend amongst us was visiting for the first time and he was totally gone. Overcome by sleep and the fatigue. I myself wasn’t faring any better. It was my second visit and I was just as tired. Early morning climate there was freezing cold. We were eagerly waiting for the sun to come out (Sounds so strange, when you live in a place where these days the temperature is above 40 and it’s scalding hot). There is nothing as beautiful as the sunrise and sunset amongst the mountains. The sunrays falling on the highest peak of the mountain is a breathtaking view. It added to our lost energies. Slowly but steadily we walked, taking rests in between. I walked ahead of them to quickly grab a bench for rest. Even the drained energies couldn’t stop us from striking poses for the pics. We clicked as many pics as possible to make our friends jealous. :D

More than half of the downward journey we covered finely. Inbetween we stopped at CCD to revive ourselves. But that rest proved not good at all. My shoes started to hurt like hell. I had to poke my hells out of the shoes for the rest of the journey. Also the sun by that time was directly above our heads which was adding to our woes.....! Now there are two ways, either you walk down the road or you walk down the stairs. Obviously walking down the stairs is shortcut, but it adds to the pain in the calf muscles. We took the way down the stairs. One of them comprising of more than 500 steps. Muscles I wasn’t even aware of introduced themselves to me. The only 1km journey left seemed difficult/impossible to cover. Struggling and staggering we somehow dragged ourselves. Reached the point from where we started. Took an auto rickshaw from there to the main Katra city (when we started, we covered this distance too by foot). Waited in same eatery for our friends.overcome by sleep, most of us dozed off. Slowly our friends arrived in scattered groups, all red from the heat.

Took a bus back to Jammu. The bus ride this time was all quite and calm. Walking or even getting up was now a torture. Legs were all numb and full of cramps. Reached home. Just took off my bag. And slept straight for 15 hours.......!!!

Now missing all the fun. Had a great great great time. This was probably the last trip with friends. And my legs feel better, much better.

p.s will share the pics with you soon....!!

Kaleidoscope........!!!

It’s been ages since I have posted a new post on my blog. And I guess this is the longest period of my absence ever since I have started blogging. It’s not like I have had enough of it or that I am sick of it. But the reason is that I have been just so busy with “n” different things. All these things that I have been busy with are so very special and each has some or the other special memory attached to it. I am surely never ever going to forget this particular phase of my life. The phase with beautiful memories......

The last 15-20 days have been so stressful. At one point I was left wondering, over the fact that I am actually capable of doing the heaps of work I did in those days. Well, the thing is that I am the laziest person I know. So when I do a lot of work that too in a very short span of time, I make myself really proud. (Talk of being self-obsessed....!!)

Also these are my final last few days in college, so we are constantly planning thinks to make these days special and fun. From planning picnics to girls’ day out to rainy day celebrations to mini party @ college..... We have done it all...!! My friend Vandy has also made a movie on our lovely days in college will definitely share it with you guys as soon as I get TIME..... Yea TIME.

TIME has been flying away from my hands (not literally......!!!). I am blogging after such a long time that I almost feel like a beginner. I haven’t been able to follow your blogs. But I have tried to read maximum of them today itself. Needless to say, I have missed you guys....!! When I did have some time at hand I couldn’t manage to post because my net limit had exceeded. Now I am seriously thinking of changing my net plan. Towards the end of almost every month I am left struggling for net. Phewww trust me... quite a headache.

Now towards the start of new month my di and jiju were visiting. Going back and forth between college to home to huge huge huge load of assignments to planning for party to handling rumours that result of 7th sem is on its way, I was on the verge of a mental breakdown.

But thankfully everything was handled well....!
ASSIGNMENTS were completed in time (with help from di).
PARTY was a huge success.
DI & JIJU time was rocking.
RESULT is still on the way.
Amidst all this too the awaragardi was on the roll. Trips to Barista, momo hut, dominoes......! By the way I now have a serious MOMO FETISH.

One of these days we had a dinner party at a friend’s place. So four of us (me, Eku, Rags and Bowlz) went there. On the way back it was quite late and dark. The roads were deserted, cold wind was blowing. The whole atmosphere called for some kind of mischief. Well the thing was totally unintended, but somehow it was just meant to take place. What happened was that while driving out from a patli galli, Rags was assisting Bowls. He happened to say a jaane de. Now that jaane de came out a bit too loud than what was required. I coaxed him to shout a bit more loudly. He did and that echoed in to the dark deserted road. It had me and Eku laughing. Now before we could come out from the shock of it Bowlz pushed his head out from the window and shout something funny (damn I forgot what it was). But trust me it was funny coz it had me in splits. After that there was no looking back, whole way till my house they shouted, hooted, .... Except for a small interval of time when we spotted a cop (drunk...!). Eku inspired by the hooliganism, literally sat on the window, waist up hanging out, enjoying the wind. I wanted to shout and hang both, but could do none of it coz I just couldn’t stop laughing.....!! they threatened me that they would shout outside my house so that my dad would think that his daughter in roaming around the city with drunkards.....! thankfully they spared me the horror.

It was one of the best nights of my life, because it was actually the first time I was with my friends late into the night.....!! I ll never forget that fun and uncontrollable laughter.

Also, one day while coming out from a party, we noticed that across the road a man was fiddling in the dustbin. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw him take out something, he actually ate it. It’s not like I have never seen a sight like it. I have seen little kids/ rag pickers fiddling in the dustbins on the road. But there was something different about this particular scene. Maybe it was the man, his attitude.... he was so calm, it seemed as if he was doing something very normal, or maybe it was the fact that I had just come out from a great party, where I had sumptuous food in front of me. The fact that I wasted a great deal of it. Blissfully unaware that such a sight was waiting for me outside and maybe there are thousands like him all around our country. Looking for specks of food, while people like me waste it in plenty. Like they say “life teaches at every step”.

I too learned this lesson. Better late than never.
